Treasury Application Audit

Who this is for

Corporate treasurers, CFOs, and internal audit heads who need an independent financial review of the application that records cash, FX deals, and payment instructions. Suitable when you are preparing for external audit, responding to a bank or regulator question, or consolidating entities onto a shared treasury platform.

Result you receive

A written audit report that maps control design and operating effectiveness inside the application, with findings ranked by financial exposure. Each finding names the module, control owner, sample tested, and a practical remediation path — not a generic control framework checklist.

Scope included

  • User access, segregation of duties, and dormant or privileged accounts in the treasury application
  • Payment initiation, authorisation matrices, dual-control thresholds, and override evidence
  • Deal capture, confirmation matching, and settlement instruction controls for FX and money-market activity
  • Cash position and liquidity views: source feeds, manual adjustments, and reconciliation to bank statements
  • Interfaces to the general ledger, bank connectivity, and file-based payment channels
  • Completeness and retention of audit logs used for after-the-fact investigation
  • Sample testing of live and closed periods agreed during scoping

Scope excluded

  • Full statutory financial statement audit
  • Penetration testing or infrastructure security assessments
  • Vendor software development or configuration implementation
  • Ongoing managed monitoring after the engagement ends (available as a separate health check)

How we work

  1. Scoping call — Confirm application name/version, legal entities, modules in use, and the question driving the audit.
  2. Planning memo — Agree sample periods, evidence requests, and interview list with treasury and application owners.
  3. Fieldwork — Walkthroughs, configuration review, and transaction sampling in a controlled environment you provide.
  4. Closing discussion — Walk findings with management before the report is finalised.
  5. Final report — Issue findings, ratings, and a remediation tracker your team can own.

Duration and delivery

Most single-entity engagements take three to six weeks from kickoff to final report, depending on module breadth and evidence turnaround. Fieldwork may include visits to our Bangkok meeting space or your office at Level 10, 57 Rama IX Road, Huai Khwang, Bangkok 10310 coordination area, plus remote sessions.

Preparation we ask of you

  • Read-only or supervised access to the treasury application (or screenshots/exports where access is restricted)
  • Current treasury policy, authorisation matrices, and bank mandate extracts
  • Organisation chart for treasury, payments, and IT application support
  • Prior internal or external findings related to cash and payments, if any

Pricing basis

Fees are quote-based. Drivers include number of legal entities on the application, modules in scope (payments, deals, liquidity, bank links), and whether fieldwork is on-site. Starting guidance appears on our Fees page. A deposit is invoiced on engagement letter signature.
